About the University

Delhi Technological University (DTU) began in 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic, the country’s first polytechnic and then became Delhi College of Engineering in 1965, and gained university status in 2009. Its 163-acre Rohini campus blends heritage buildings with modern labs, a central library, and innovation hubs that support interdisciplinary teaching and student-led research.

As a research powerhouse, DTU publishes extensively in fields like AI, renewable energy and nanotechnology, with projects funded by DST, CSIR and DRDO. Strong industry ties-sponsored labs, internships and incubators-plus alumni in leadership roles underscore its lasting impact on engineering and technology.
